Would you rather be intelligent and live a lifetime being poor or be not that academic and be wealthy for life?

Years ago I chose smart & poor (near 32 yrs a rubbertramp now), and don't regret doing so.

Choosing a GoPro like camera

You might want to look into a waterproof compact camera like the one I use, a Fuji XP80 or something like it. It's only waterproof to 50', but that's plenty if you don't scuba dive. Try used/surplus units on Ebay.

The revival of this site is amazing.

Yup, was really gratified to see the site up again, sans some of the quirks of the 'old' site. Now just need to get the word out and get more new posters. In the meantime it's nice to play 'catch up' with some of the original crew.

Hungarian/Polish, which makes me super sneaky and too damn stupid to know any better. I look at myself as Canadian.. full stop.

Given I'm not celebrating Christmas this year.

Every day is a holiday for me, so x-mas isn't special.. just annoying. I get a couple of gifts from my sisters and send off some to them & the kids.

Lost the battle.

Like most of current GOP policies, it's a money grab. The politicians have been heftily bribed by various corporations and they're going to trash/sell off as much of the country as possible before they lose their majority in both house and senate. If they're lucky, trump will start a war and they can drag it out for who knows how many years before the USA collapses into a third world country.

I bought mine used off Ebay, working 'as-is', from a re-seller. Wasn't anything wrong with it and I ended up paying less than 1/4 list.
