statism, the belief that the state is supreme, is the most dangerous thing.

More dangerous than crocodiles?

How do I build my self esteem?

I have had a lot of past success with googling “how to love yourself”. If you you want to, you will get there and be better off forever. Nobody is more in need of your love than yourself, and every time you give yourself compassion you’ll become just a little stronger. I used to be quite overweight and still struggle occasionally with moments of stress eating, but I’ve been fit for years now mostly because I learned how to be kind to myself and give myself what I need. You can do it. You deserve love :)

I tried at life and I failed.

I’m not religious at all, don’t believe in god in the normal sense, but I really connect with this advice from Mathew 6:25 through 34
You don’t need to look at it, it just reminds me that when you just decide to trust life, that it’s good now, things suddenly get a lot more simple and easy.

You are here, you’re present, you’re alive. You’re winning at life in my book. Thinking of things that you’re genuinely grateful for can really give more perspective. You probably have the weight of the world on your shoulders, but you can shrug it off for a minute. This is a good place to take a break and acknowledge the reality beyond whatever cornered thinking you got tricked into.

Thank you guys for lifting my spirits with your responses here, I was at a low point when I wrote this and even though I am feeling a lot better now, it makes a difference to notice and share the good stuff.

One thing I can tell you is that if you drink any caffeine, it's not helping you.

I had a dream of being a corpse and hearing a beautiful women singing.

In one of my own death dreams, its distinguishing characteristic was the silence - unable to hear, unable to scream. Trapped in a room, could not wake myself (it usually works). Watching images from my past roll by, unable to reach out to them.

How awful. That sounds like sleep paralysis.

Well our rides all end at some point, I'm hoping for another seventy years. I too have been having wacky dreams recently. Last night's was that I suddenly started looking like an awkward twelve-year-old again, and Lisa telling me, "Wow honey, maybe you do look like yourself after all." So strange.
