Have you ever been employed by an employer who tells you one thing at the start, but does nothing they say after you've been there a while?

Haha yeah I quit before getting a new job, which felt a bit irresponsible. Worked out for me but I wouldn't recommend it lol.

It only matters if it matters to you and him. All you can do is ask him! My love is like 20 years older than me and I kiss him and smile in the face of raised eyebrows.

Art lessons.

Have them do different techniques! Tesselation project by cutting out a shape that you can repeat over and over, pointillism lots of dots of paint to make a picture of something that might seem boring, go outside and fling some paint around a la Jackson Pollock, paint a bookshelf together, partner and draw each other a bunch of times with quick three minute sketches, make art out of trash you found outside, have them try to capture a dream or a feeling however they want!

It's a tough situation, I wish you luck. I might try asking extremely directly and extremely politely for what you want again. If they don't give it, go somewhere else! :)

I got what I wanted.

Eventually your pup will totally help balance your feelings more positively. Generally, the more walks you go for, the better both of you will feel.

That was my last job, it was really uncomfortable. They were doing everything they possibly could to keep me in my stupid position, including giving me a bunch of little raises, after they had promised and promised to train me for a different position. Eventually I got really upset with them and the manager told me she wasn't going to move me. Weirdly they acted all surprised and upset when I quit, but it sucked so bad to be treated like that. I don't know whether she really thought I couldn't do the other job for some reason or whether she was just being awful and petty as she often was, but in either case it's not good. I recommend moving on. I have a better job now, there are plenty out there. A place that doesn't treat you well can make you forget or undervalue yourself.
