Who here plays video games?

I feel like most of the regulars don't since I'm pretty sure I've never seen a post about them. What kind of games do you play if you do? What are you playing right now? What's your favorite?

I like games! Donโ€™t have the time to play much.
Creative games like Minecraft and Factorio are my favorites. I also love games like Beat Saber (VR) and Guitar Hero.

Not much of a โ€œgamerโ€ but I do play when I can. ๐Ÿ˜

I like Minecraft but I legit get scared of the monsters. Silent Hill I can deal with, but for some reason crudely rendered cartoon monsters scare the heck out of me.

I have Ark but I bought it without realizing it's multiplayer only..

Skyrim is great, I recently bought the remastered edition on sale. Honestly can't wait for a sequel to come out, but who knows when that is going to happen. Then again, Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood missions, imo, kinda shine above all the other quests....never actually beat the main questline, it didn't keep me interested. I also didn't like the rebellion questline cus I hate both sides. I kinda wanted to kill them both and make myself king, but that wasn't an option in the base game.

total meltdown was an incredible game but I tried replaying it a few years ago, and I just feel like fps games have come a long way since then...Need for Speed and twisted metal are classics.

I still replay Super Mario Bros 3 and the original MarioKart game for SNES every once in a while. Those games are amazing, the modern MarioKart doesn't hold a candle to the original.

Thieves Guild is definitely my favorite! I have played every major quest line and, honestly, once youโ€™ve been in as many caves as I have, they all start to look the same. I like getting mods for better quality trees, newer mage stuff, etc.

I canโ€™t wait for the new Elder Scrolls... whenever thatโ€™s coming :( It will probably be another 5 years is my guess.

I agree about the rebellion quest line, which I have beaten on both sides. The Stormcloaks are racist (nords only!) and the Imperials are arrogant and awful.

Iโ€™m not overly found of Dark Brotherhood but itโ€™s a good storyline. I wish they expanded the Companion storyline. The vampire storyline is amazing too.

My steam library has Ark: Survival Evolved and Ark: Survival of the Fittest. do you have one of those? I think I opened one a couple of years ago and couldn't figure out how to get started.

I don't play a lot of the newer games, (it's hard for me to justify spending $150 on something that wouldn't be played as much as a game with Mark Hamill in it) most of my PS3 gets its action from the Batman Arkham series when I'm not using it as a Blu-ray player. Most other games, are just the ones on my phone. Does SecondLife count as a video game though? I use that a lot too. Mostly for roleplaying mythical characters.

I have been looking into getting a few new games though, I have Skyrim, but I get so sucked into that game when I play it, I don't sleep for almost 2 days, and then my whole world feels like a video game. My anxiety meds can only do so much beyond a certain level of personal stupidity.

Skyrim is pretty intense like that, at least it was for me. I can kind of take it or leave it at this point. It is fun to revisit, its such a one of a kind game.

Yeah, I lost an entire summer to Skyrim once... now I can play a quest or two and take a step back.

Recently my family has been trying to get me to play WoW which I was initially resistant to bc Iโ€™m not a fan of PC games but Iโ€™m starting to enjoy it.

WoW is great i'm sure, though i'll probably never find out because I am not fond of purely multiplayer games. Also I hear it can be super addictive too...

the only time I really enjoyed multiplayer was playing Modern Warfare 2, I think it was a really nice easy to pick up FPS multiplayer. But people kept using the dumb exploits and the last time I logged onto it people were hacking the bejesus out of it. I played a round where a guy's sprite just kept spinning 360 degrees the whole time, firing non stop, and was invisible. I don't get how someone does that and has fun.

Yeah it seems to be an addicting game and everyone else has been playing for a decade (no exaggeration here, theyโ€™ve all been playing off/on since 2005).

I really hate when people spam or do dumb stuff like that. Some people just get their kicks from ruining someone elseโ€™s day, itโ€™s just ridiculous.

Couldnโ€™t really ever get into any of the Call of Duty games personally. I like open worlds with storylines but I also hate real life people so ยฏ_(ใƒ„)_/ยฏ

I put enough quarters into a Space Invaders machine in 1978 to buy a pound of Colombian Gold, when there was such a thing. The game came out when I was 18, I guess I was the first generation that played video games. My dad never saw a TV until he was 20 years old. Times move fast.

At the dave and busters by me you can play space invaders on a huge screen. Me and my gf tried and she beat me twice in a row. Had a higher score than me, i should say.

I love Silent Hill! It's definitely one of my favorite horror series along with Resident Evil. Rpgs I mostly just stick with Final Fantasy and Star Ocean.
