My anxiety problems are driving everyone in my life crazy.

I try to stop myself from freaking out over minor things. It’s like if anything, even minor, doesn’t go exactly as planned, I panic.

But... I don’t have time to dedicate to a therapist, I do not want to go back on meds, and I’m having a hard time making myself go back to the gym to work off my stress.

How do you make yourself do something you don’t want to and how do you stop stressing over literally everything?

Going to the gym to vent your stress might put you in better physical shape but it still does not solve the source of what is causing your anxiety.
Personally, I'm usually against medications but there is a very rare time and condition for their use. In this case, you must make it a goal to determine what you believe the problem to be. The meds will give you the runway and "peace of mind" necessary to think things through. You may even want to contemplate a solution.
Then afterward, go back off the meds. There is, in life, a natural form of stress that no one can (or should) escape. But, when it becomes too overwhelming, we all need to get some help.
Lots of love dear girl.

I'm reminded of the poem, Anyway. It has been said to have been found hanging on the wall of an orphanage founded by Mother Theresa. It reads:

People are often unreasonable, illogical and self centered;
Forgive them anyway.

If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives;
Be kind anyway.

If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies;
Succeed anyway.

If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you;
Be honest and frank anyway.

What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight;
Build anyway.

If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous;
Be happy anyway.

The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow;
Do good anyway.

Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough;
Give the world the best you've got anyway.

You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and your God;
It was never between you and them anyway.

So my suggestion to you @Araz is to just do it. Regardless of your fears, just do it. Do it.... Anyway.

Maybe... I’ll think about it. That’s a really hard thing for me to do and I’ll have to find a therapist who is available on weekends or evenings. But I promise I’ll think about it.

Love you too!

Man... weed just puts me to sleep AND makes me nauseous. I’ve never heard of CBD flowers. I’ll look into it. Thanks!

I have to admit, my first reaction when I saw your title was "and how do they think it makes you feel since you're the one going through it?!" Yes, someone dealing with anxiety or other issues is stressful, it's hard when you don't know what to do, or how is the best way to help. Ie; a good friend of mine and my mother's is currently unwell with her schizophrenia and it's stressing my mom out to be around her, but I can't help but wonder for all the stress it's causing my mom...what kind of personal hell must our friend be going through? Probably the same way I feel when I'm having a panic attack or depressive episode and other's tell me how stressed out I'm making them...

It usually makes us feel worse to be told that our illness is an inconvenience and annoyance to them. Because just a lovely stroll in the park for us in comparison, isn't it? And then you have that a-hole in our heads saying we're a burden, and around and around it goes again.

As daunting as meds are, and as hateful as it can be to take them, if they work, then that's at least a step forward. Perhaps you won't need them forever, but the medication can sometimes just take the edge off and give you the ability and level-headness to manage and give yourself a break. Perhaps enough to figure out what your stress triggers are, and how to recognize and find a different strategy to deal with them.

For me, headphones, sunglasses and a hat worked best for me at first when I went out, I was able to feel "safe" and less stressed when I felt I still had control of my personal space. If I got too stressed out, I'd had music I could lose myself in, and I didn't notice the crowds and noise so much. Eventually, I just had the headphones hanging around my neck and used them less and less, then I could sometimes take the hat off, etc. There's times I still need headphones for the "bigger" things, so I have a safety net to fall back on, but I don't need to feel like I need a disguise when I do my grocery shopping anymore, and that was a huge thing for me.

Exercise can be good to release stress and tire yourself out enough to not have the energy, but, it can also have drawbacks too, but exhaustion, can also lead to stress and therefore more anxiety. I learned that the first time I started the Insanity work out and didn't even make it through more than 11 minutes of the Fit Test.

The medication might be temporary, or it might not. But I would speak to a medical/therapy specialist about it, and whatever you do, be careful...some medication can actually cause you to get worse if you stop them suddenly without doctor supervision. Mine certainly does, especially since I'm on the highest dose. So if you find yourself getting stressed after getting back on the meds, do not stop taking them without talking to your doctor. They may need to wean you off by dropping the dosage first to avoid any really bad effects.

I’ll try to find a psychiatrist who can see me on weekends. Thank you - I’ll let you know how it goes.

From the FAQ section of doctorondemand.com

Doctor On Demand works with many employers and health plans. During registration, make sure to add your insurance to find out if your health plan supports Doctor On Demand telehealth visits.

To see if your company is included, follow these easy steps:

1. Open the Doctor On Demand app and sign in to your account
2. Go to the gear symbol in the top right
3. Go to "Employer" or "Insurance" and follow the prompts

If using your computer, go to your account online and hover above your name in the top right; then click on "Payment & Benefits" to add.
