There's just not a lot of strangers here.

That's nice and all that but really we feed on people who just come here out of the blue and need help. We need HELP getting more traffic... I'm open for suggestions. Better yet what can I do?

Speaking of avatars what about my hot little number? Oo la la.. that's some original artwork sent to me by a fan who is now a famous artist. Whew man I've been sitting in a tree for 10 hours in the middle of the woods in the middle of nowhere and I didn't even get to kill anything. I'm about to explode.

Maybe we can drop a link to this place on a few different sites that are similar? I know of a site that’s more of a question/answer- but it’s not really a discussion site, so people that want to talk get more or less turned away.

Kind of us. Haven’t put in the order for the next 10 years though. The other similar domain I’ve got for us is HelperNow.co, but I think we’d face a similar problem. Unfortunately most “good” domains are either taken, or premium- so they cost a LOT.
The Help.com domain, I believe, is worth a little over 10k USD.

It may have been more. That’s just what it’s worth. Like you may have an antique rifle “worth” 10k, but somebody might have to pay you 100k to let it go.

Or not. Maybe they sold it for $100 and nobody was around at the time to snatch it up. 🤷‍♂️

And it was sold when everything was devalued. Houses around here that were $400,000 suddenly were worth $200,000 about 9 years ago exactly wasn't it?

I concur. With all the technology available nowadays in the palm of one's hand, people must've grown callous towards the generic methods. Only way to penetrate that level of indifference is going oldschool: Handing out fliers. Performing in the streets. Drawing encrypted crop circles for the google earth folks to decipher. Wow, that's harsh. During the "prime" years, can recall posts throwing around evaluations between 7 figures and no way, so less than a used car is a tad underwhelming.

you can get put to the top of certain keyword searchs for tiny amounts - i think from £99+VAT and up with some companies. It depends though.

Ultimately, google searches are based on popularity, so the more times people search for us, the higher it comes - but it is a pain to find with the qa... not sure on how that fits together

Post links wherever you can Joe. The more unique traffic from outside sites we can muster the better. That is a big part of the algorithm used to move the site higher in rankings. And we've only been back a month. When you found OH it had been over a couple years old.

Another big help we had was word of mouth. Teens found us and asked a multitude of different questions. When they got help and it didn't cost them a red cent, they told all their friends.
