Worrying doesnt make the problem go away so i will not think about it.

If this is about him having that iranian general assassinated, I don't think things are going to go that far.

I just hope that assassinating this guy does actually save lives and that this was done for a legitimate reason and not to distract from other things going on.

At first I thought so too.

But I don’t think it will get that far. I hope it won’t get that far.

No one wants war. And I think this is a distraction from other things happening in US. Like the impeachment trial and impending election.

I also think Trump shouldn’t be insulting allies if he wants back up in situations like this.

All in all the General had to go. But there should have been more of a plan for the after math.

Well things are now de-escalating (I think). I think it was a lot of people who are not clued up on Middle East politics, and who know a little bit about Franz Ferdinand, who started Tweeting and panic ensued.

The problem the USA now faces is a goose & gander scenario. Having publicly assassinated a high ranking government official, they now face the prospect of other governments doing the same to USA politicians/officials. All that a country has to do is declare that the official is a 'terrorist', or supports terrorism, and it's open season. Perceptions around the world aren't necessarily in lockstep with those of the USA; Trump REALLY ******fucked up here. Not only that, but he also bypassed Congress, which sets a bad precedent and might very well be unconstitutional.
