Question 5...Wednesday

DocteurRalph wrote:
How can a car accident be one of your best experiences?

hah! it was a wake up call. when you get one of those, you just know it's for the best.
looking back at my life, I wouldn't change a thing. not even the accident. because it made me realize what's important in this shitty life. it made me a better me. yes, it was hard, and yes, there were days I wished I had died that day, I often wished I didn't have to go through this to reevaluate, but looking back right now, I realize how much this accident has helped me. it's like I hit a reset button that day. :)

Question 5...Wednesday

I've had many of these. actually, I believe everything changes constantly. the biggest one I can remember is a car accident I had a few years back. one of the best, and worst at the same time, experiences I've ever had!
hey @**PamelaAnn** I would like to hear your experiences too!

Question 4...

good morning!
I want people to see the difference between "need" and "want". assuming that all of us fulfill the need for food and clothing, everything else is a desire. not the necessity the word "need" implies.

@Jebus-Zeus maybe we're all just a picture in a painting.. who knows.. what matters is, are you a Goya or a Afremov?

imagine you're standing in front of a beautiful landscape. you admire the view, but what you don't realize is, that you're only seeing a really small part of it. who knows what you're missing!
now look at the painting. light symbolizes knowledge. the lady with the book only has a small candle, because books can only provide a small part of knowledge, while the other person holds a really big lantern.
now, you say that the other person was you. could this mean that you're holding a bigger part of knowledge/light, that you're able to see a bigger part of the landscape/reality? who knows!
by the way, Joey is a beautiful name! too bad he doesn't recognize you as his father. could this mean there's no joy in your life?
does it really matter whether life is real or not? does asking this, help you in any way make your life better? as Kazantzakis said, "you've got the brush, you've got the colors, paint paradise and in you go."
life is what you make it.
man, I don't know if I'm making any sense! I'll just leave it there.

Thank you Kali, for this lovely (and very funny) Post.

In 2005, my dad passed away. I miss him as often as I do my mother - I suppose I will for rest of my life.
If he were here today, I would say, "I love you dad," it was a pleasure to be your son and the honor of it was always mine. Sadly, I know that now more than ever before. I wish we could have had more time together because I always kept discovering more and more of who you were.
Thanks for being there for me when you could - you never missed an important moment and that's far more than what most people get.
Peace.
