Will 2017 be remembered for the empowered women coming out of the shadows of abuse?

All my male friends dont abuse women animals or xhildren. Pretty humble group. The freakers who do this should be hung by their balls. They ruin it for all of us

The good guys need to stand up to the bad guys. Like the bicyclists who stumbled upon the ****rape behind a dumpster and chased the guy.... no names. Perp doesn't need more notoriety

Didn't read all the replies, so this may have been mentioned....
While I do think it is great that these women are coming forward, I have to say that its mostly high profile perps and victims. Its a step in the right direction in that it raises awareness and makes perps think that a victim "might be more likely to use her voice...." but at the present time, I don't see much changing for "regular everyday women..." hopefully the trend will continue and encompass women from all walks of life

What is it you are Thankful for?

Stingrays that mean you no harm or ill will.
God. Family. Friends.
Freedom to follow my faith.
Wisdom to not disparage other's faith.
Strength to get to my w/c without needing assistance.

This^^^^^ Sorry I copied, but this is great.
I would add that I'm thankful to be able to park in non handicapped parking and walk across the parking lot and that I'm less thankful for my family as a whole...(there are some real "winners!"), as I AM thankful for the one I have helped in creating... husb and kids
I'm also VERY thankful for great ski days

What do you honestly think would happen if the help community actually met in person?

I think that I would love to meet everyone in person. But I would need to get to know some on here better and build some more trust.
I do think that over time, you can get a pretty good sense about who a person is online, based on consistency in their replies. But it is true that a person can hide, enhance, or change aspects of themselves sitting behind a screen.
I have been on other online sites, though, and I think I feel the freest to be who I really am on help. Fb is all positive... other sites skew personalities, too; help is encompassing while other sites focus on one aspect (political, Christian, etc....whatever the site is "about.")

Difference between help and advice?

I give advice based on my personal experiences. I always appreciate advice and I'm a "researcher" in that I look at all scenrios/options....and then make up my mind, sometimes not using ANYONE'S advice. But, hearing all points of view helps me to feel more comfortable in what I ultimately decide on.

I think on help, all viewpoints are welcome and all personal stories of how situations turned out are useful to a person facing a dilemma.

But it all comes with an unspoken (and maybe spoken, as in... "when that happened to me....") knowledge that most of us are not experts.

I think that just having another layer of support is great. This place can be in lieu of real life support systems that may be crumbling...

So.....

I guess.... "introductory" in this case refers to people who have never had this before.... which I can't imagine amounts to many customers because I was sorta the last person I know of to get a cell phone... and now the last person I know of to get house wifi....lolol

So.....

Yeah... I'm no expert, either. All of this is like a foreign language to me...

But, I'm tryin' to learn ;)

So.....

Terabyte doesn't seem like that much, according to google....

So.....

And... if I do reach a terrabyte and my speed slows to 40mbps, is that a concern? Or is 40 a speed in which you can still do what you need to do?

I am also going to keep our cell phones with the 30 gigabytes per month, just to be on the safe side....
