I just recently quit my good job and now work in a school - I've never been happier (or poorer)

Welcome Dolly! Happiness is more important than money, but you need a little bit of money to be happy!

I know money is evil, but you need money to have a comfortable place to live- and that is a pretty big factor to happiness for most!

I find out today if I got the promotion I applied for which would mean I didn't need to spend my savings to live! Interested to hear ...

Hiya, Dolly! I definitely remember you. I think you were doing fashion design the last I recall. Or I might be confusing you with Polly... my brain is not so good these days.

I definitely get the frustration over the job stuff though! I decided to combine my passion with something that I could make a career out of. But then, my field of choice is luckily versatile, and I'm not too sure about how to build up in the education sector. Unless you actually want to work at owning the school, I guess Lol

I studied fashion for 2 years, costume for 3 years, then worked making costumes for 2 years, then worked in theatre for two years before changing paths and starting in a special needs secondary school two months ago

Wow! You've definitely had a few adventures then! I am so glad to hear that you are happy where you're at now, though. Despite the financial drawbacks of it all, I think happiness is worth more. :)

What was it like working in the fashion/costume industry? I heard that it is extremely harsh!
