My cat died today and I burst into tears at a work meeting.

I’m sorry and you should not feel embarrassed. A year ago one of my favorite dogs was going to be put down at the shelter I volunteered at. I found out people could go say there goodbyes. After balling my eyes out in the bathroom I went to my boss red eyed and told her I needed to leave early. Losing a pet is one of the hardest things and it’s understandable how you reacted

What’s the point.

I quit. Friday was my last day. I drove 40 minutes to work and was told there wasn’t a computer for me to use and I could just go home and work there. This job was supposed to be fun and it was causing more anxiety. I am now looking for new work.

I think she has a contract and can't yet let it go until it finishes..

Yeah, I have to pay for the apartment until the lease is over

Let the apartment go.

Find a guy who likes you for more than just your body?

Pick.better friends?

If I had money I could do the first two. If people wanted to be my friend or I had time to go out and meet new people I could do the second two.

I so want to see a happy post from you, Music=life, you don't even know! This curse must be broken; may the hope persevere and blessings start pouring in..

If you can't turn this job around, hope you will find a new one in which you will be happy. Have you been able to find someone to rent your apartment? Have you been able to socialize more with friends?

I wish things would go well enough to have a happy post. No one wants to rent my apartment so I am paying 1200$ for a place I don’t live in. I’ve tried reaching out to my friends but everyone is too busy with their new friends and lives.

Ah, Music, I am sorry that you are disappointed in your new job. However . . .

You are now in a position to blaze new marketing trails. You can do things that have never been done before.

For starters--does the shelter have a Facebook page? Do you show the pets available for adoption on Facebook or on your shelter's web page? Do you solicit for donations? Do you let schools and police departments know that your shelter offers opportunities for volunteering? Do you go to local schools and do presentations about the animals and need for adoptions? Have you invited local media to come to the shelter and see the animals that need to be adopted?

There's a universe of things you can do! And those little animals are depending on YOU!

Secondly--women who appear weak and vulnerable attract the kind of males who want "only one thing." Project strength, self-reliance and determination. Stay away from people in the organization in which you work--such relationships almost always end badly. Smile confidently, act with conviction, and accept no BS from anyone. Not from ANYone!

They won’t let me make any changes or take initiative bc they’re philosophy is if it’s not broke don’t fix it. All I do is make mediocre videos with any free software I can find. It’s as if they hired me but don’t want my opinions. They won’t give me access to any social media partly because they don’t even know their own passwords.

I tried at life and I failed.

I feel you. I wish I could give words of wisdom but when your in that headspace it’s really hard to get out of it. But the one advice I have to give is you have time. I volunteer at an animal shelter and it is a way of giving back. Or run away and start the life you’ve always dreamed of living

Just found out my dad has got terminal stomach cancer.

I think that in times like this they just want you to be there. Whatever has happened in the past doesn’t matter. I think you need to do what’s best for you and you will regret it if you don’t say goodbye

Every time I stand up life seems to shove me back down.

I posted to a fb housing group for my old college and the leasing office said they would start showing my place to see if they could find anyone
