Itโ€™s kind of hard to stay positive when literally everyone is being negative around you.

Happy New Year to y'all too. I actually woke up, having to take a piss, and heard fireworks.. yay. Figured I might as well surf the net a bit and here I am. Dunno if I can handle the excitement.

I really question the effectiveness of anything short of a respirator with, at the very least HEPA/charcoal filters. I think many masks just filter out the chunky bits and are more a psychological crutch.

Why am I always ignored on facebook?

I personally don't really give a ****shit about what people think about on Facebook. I post stuff that's relevant to me and, if people like it.. GREAT! If people don't then screw 'em cuz I've got a 'real' life to live that's far more varied and interesting. Facebook and other social media are basically time wasters and, ultimately ancillary to my other interests.

For example, just the other day we had harsh freezing rain that knocked out power for 24hrs. Well, I did some reading and got onto replacing a front wheel bearing on my parents' car. Didn't really miss the net. Actually, it kinda made me nostalgic for pre-2003 when I didn't have a computer or cell phone.
