Sorry that I have been so scarce...

It started out that I was busy with work, and the Field Training Exercise with the cadets, but then this week I came down with the flu.

I still feel like complete *****shite, but thought I would let people know that I'm still here.

There's been a mean illness going around these parts as well. Glad to know you're "okay"- but wish the best in getting past the sickness!

I made sure and got vaccinated. They say it's only a 36% it'll protect against the flu, but that's wayyy more than 0%. It also reduces the severity if one DOES contract it. Only problem is, I might end being born autistic, but I'll take that chance.

Keep warm, drink nothing cold, and send an email to Trudeau calling him a twit and you will be cured in 24 hours!

- Ha! I caught that! I think side effects for you may include being born naturally salty with a twitchy eye and a tendency to grab every leg stepping in high cotton!๐Ÿ˜‹

Oh yeah - glad you're feeling better Padre. Welcome back to the grid.

It seems every year I get the vaccine I get the flu. It may not be as bad, but I think this is rigged somehow. ๐Ÿ˜„

Thank you all for the well wishes. Though I'm still not 100% I'm far better now, then what I was. :)

Never got the flu shot- never got the flu.

Same deal with everybody in my family- except one of my cousins who got the flu shot... And has since gotten the flu every couple of years.

... ๐Ÿคจ

Iโ€™m all for science and medicine, but the concept behind why the flu shot exists and how it works doesnโ€™t sit well with me. I know it introduces the virus to your body in a small sample so that your body can โ€œget usedโ€ to fighting it- but it seems to have more of an adverse effect on everybody that I talk to. Seems like a better idea to just be healthy and listen to your body.

Padre- welcome back to life. ๐Ÿ˜„

I don't get flu shots since l left the military. In the military, we were forced to get them. I always got sick from them.

But I haven't had a flu shot or the flu in the last 17 years. In the previous 20+ years, I got sick every year from the flu shot. Once, the flu shot actually gave me the flu--and that's no joke.

I believe in vaccinations in general, but the flu shot has been a con job from Day One. Flu shots are pushed by Big Pharma because they generate billions in revenue--even though they are worthless.

It wasn't the flu. It is called Clinomania.
The excessive desire to stay in bed.

Trust me. I know words. Very important words. Like reciprocal...

The flu strain this year has been laying people low.

You can forget the flu shot--shaking a witch doctor's rattle would be more effective!
