would u take a job that's a bit higher pressure and 30-45 minutes away for 80 dollars more a week?

I'd say the extra 2hrs or so commuting each day, which is unpaid work as far as I'm concerned, nixes it right there. Add to that the transportation expense and it looks worse & worse. Also, maybe 4ake into account wear & tear insofar as the commute turns, let's say, an 8hr work day into a 10hr one.. and that adds up to burnout.

Helpbot,

I hope you didn't engender an existential crisis in helpbot, causing it to take that final irrevocable step..

Looking for a new laptop.

Depending on how long you can wait, AMD's newest n greatest is becoming available. Much better graphics than Intel CPU's with comparable CPU performance (and cheaper too!). Also, with Intel, there's the performance drop mitigating the meltdown vulnerability is said to entail.

I made sure and got vaccinated. They say it's only a 36% it'll protect against the flu, but that's wayyy more than 0%. It also reduces the severity if one DOES contract it. Only problem is, I might end being born autistic, but I'll take that chance.

A friend of mine, a long time ago, dreamed about being bitten on his leg. Woke up to find that yes, indeed, he'd been bitten.. by a brown recluse spider. The venom ended up rotting a fair sized pit in his leg which, months later, remained open and oozing. Goes to show that dreams.. uhhh.. yeah. I'm sure I was goin' somewhere with this, just give me a bit.

I am curious if any of you guys who aren't American follow USA politics, and if you like our president?

Living right next to the USA (Canada, I can't help being aware of the massive clusterfuck going on across the border. It isn't just Trump, awful as he is, but basically the entire Republican party tearing up the USA. Sad thing is, too many in the populace are complicit with the GOP and refuse to see how their social infrastructure is being rather rapidly eroded away. Unfortunately, living so close, the USA's 'problems' can all too easily become ours. When (I'd like to say 'if' but..) they crash 'n burn I'd hate to have them drag us down with 'em, but not very optimistic.

I just had a nightmare that I was washing the dishes but they wouldnโ€™t get clean.

I think your subconscious self is telling you to get a dog or to get another one (cuz 2 is better than 1.. kinda like the Doublemint twins). Hell, it worked for me and now I NEVER wash dishes! Talk about simplifying my life!
