:) How are you all?

Thanks all, for replies. It was sort of a dumb post that I made. My husb is a good guy. He just doesn't have a romantic bone in his body. I'm used to it, for the most part, after all these years. And the older I get, the more glad I am that he didn't spend money foolishly on Valentine Candies, Cards, Birthday Surprises, Flowers, Christmas Gifts, Anniversary Gifts, etc. Because it's my money, too. And there are other things to spend it on. That said, I sure hope my daughter's boyfriends and SO's treat her like a princess.

That's not a bad idea but I swear I don't know how lol

I don't know much anyway anymore. All the tech experience I have is as old as dinosaurs and just so out of date it's almost useless.(not certified in anything anymore either)

And I can build websites but everyone here even thinks there's no money in that these days.

And..I can type fast lol...that's about all I can think of.

I could maybe let old people pay me to go run errands like groceries and the like if I could find them.

Those are my only ideas and they all suck lol

Okay then.....start your own courrier service for sr. citizens....

A website they can log into and make a list of anything, then YOU hire out drivers to run for and deliver the goods.

Drivers can be "Uber-like."

You have a brain....
Start hammering out the details.

Is commitment a truly good thing?

Well, if you have to ask then it is best NOT to give anyone the impression of commitment.

i really dislike

I hope, one day soon, the Internet will roast in AI hell for all eternity.
The Internet has done nothing to better mankind, when in fact, it is a tool of enslavement.
People are sheep and the corporations know it. Instead of counting sheep while you sleep, they want to control your dreams to look like this....

I'm just a little bit sad.

You mention that you have all the desirable elements in the relationship except 'passion.' I'm going to take the liberty and assume she is the one lacking the passion.

She's open to it if it naturally evolves from our friendship but in her mind if it's not there, there's no sense trying. I'm on a different page in that respect.

You're screwed and it's time to go - ASAP. She has subscribed to a view that is mentally lazy. Relationships need work because they don't just magically adjust themselves. But, a person who bases their relationships soly on "feelings" isn't going to make you a priority due to the fact they're "not feeling you."
Which is fine....however, they're too greedy to end the relationship with you - basically they have no honor to value what they "feel."
No. They like the benefit you bring to the table but at the same time can't wait to "someday" meet a person they feel passionate about. So, no matter what YOU bring to the table and the quality, it will never be good enough.
Meanwhile, you're a second-rate person who loses the first place trophy as you run a winning race against....no one....
Stop letting her use you.
Get out and find someone who IS passionate about you.

We're just stupid enough to do it for them and get paid less. Just an example.

I don't think I'm doing well in the capitalism structure is all. I'm not a communist though either. I guess that makes me a nothing...

It's like this....we all need money and we're willing to trade our labor for a wage. In other words, we not only need to be used but we want to be used - the only eternal question is: for how much?
The cool thing about capitalism is that you can strike a deal to mow a lawn for $10 then turn around and pay someone $5 to actually mow it....
It is the way of things and someone will bend and be happy about it.
As far as who the credit goes to....well....who cares, you've got $5. You'd be surprised what will motivate people when you give them hollow credit, powerless titles and a genuine pat on the back for an underpaid job done well.

Can't we all just get along?

I'm a strong believer in Peace Accords. Sure, let's all just "get along," BUT let's forge out the meaning of it through signed (or acknowleged) documentation.
Nations, and people in general, often think they're above formality - as if the expression of their very personality (or being) is above reproach, when it was that very trait that caused so much damage to begin with.
"Getting along," is a process. Some people get it, others do not.
