We are naturally afraid of death and do not seek it. Thus, we keep on existing with the hope that things would be better. Life is a lot of hard work, pain, loneliness, and routine.

For couple of moments, life is beautiful and peaceful and for those moments, all the suffering is worth it.

When will life be beautiful or peaceful? I think about death

if you are expecting to attain a level of happiness hence forth you are gonna be disappointed, for those are only moments. Happiness all the time is not real, you can be content at best. Happiness ever after is a nice little lie.

That doesnt mean you have to be sad all the time either, you have to come in term with reality... All those people on social media and tv are a lie, they are not happy all the time...

Life is about a lot of sadness and some happy moments... you have to learn to cherish and enjoy the small things in life. A lot of people of dying of hunger and cold... Since you are still here at the very least you can be thankful for that... a lot of people are blind, cant walk etc... when you learn to appreciate what you already have you will at the very least be content

There is nothing wrong with being sad and feeling like you wana die. Hell I write poems asking for death to come and take me away from this endless pain. However, after i vent, and be realistic, this world is so beautiful. With its dancing green trees, powerful mountains, and an endless river of water

Concerning purpose, you can decide whatever purpose you want to pursuit in this life. There are always a lot of people that need help, so volunteering is always a noble pursuit. If i die lonely and sad, at the very least, let me make somebody else life easier. Or decide to make the most possible money, whatever you want, your the boss :) There is no good or evil, just doing and not doing. Do whatever you want but do it well

My dad never taught me anything.

Parents are not mythical creatures. As children we see our parents as all knowing all wise. That is far away from the truth tho. Its comforting to think that our parents know it all...

The truth is, they are just regular humans with a lot of imperfections.

You are more likely to be like your father than not. We learn from our parents, the things we like and the things we hate...

am thankful for my family, but sadly they are living on the other side of the planet.

am ever thankful for my legs, i love hiking, playing soccer, and rollerblading... cant imagine my life without them. Paraplegic people have it so hard...

more work bs lol

my general rule is not to help anybody unless they ask me too... ofcourse i break my rule from time to time, when i deem somebody worth helping (most likely wont try to abuse my kindness)...

In general i'd say its important to have rules and be on the look out and learn from mistakes and pains, but at the same time we are all humans and one should be flexible and not everybody is the same and bad experience doesnt mean that all humans are awful. Am sure some people would appreciate your kindness and not try to abuse it but i would say the rate is way lower than the ones who try to abuse it

Kindness is confused with weakness more often than not. People in general want to do less and try to abuse weak people.

Don't treat others as you would like to be treated.

I agree, one should treat others as they deserve to be treated. Treat people the way you want to be treated is poetic bullshit.

any stock market gurus or exp.

Am not an expert for sure, to be honest I can't read financial statements and stuff. Yet I have been trading for the past 4 years and have been doing quite well and blame it mostly on luck.

The money you put in stocks is money you are ok with losing (most likely partially and not totally). Its very important not to get too greedy too quickly. I would highly recommend you just invest in big companies and not penny stocks. Start with a small sum of money and be patient, I'd say $5000-$10,000 is a good starting point. I'd say don't add any more money the first year and take it easy. When you are making money, its easy to get too greedy and suddenly start losing a lot of money...

I personally sold all of my USA stocks and currently only hold Canadian defensive stocks like Electricity, Food company, and Infrastructure.

I believe that we will be entering recession soon. Due to the USA - China trade war, Brexit, Hong Kong situation, and Germany not doing too good... Furthermore, we havn't been a recession for a while and its long overdue.

One more piece of advise is to diversify, don't put all your money in one stock.

So I am a Athiest, what now?

@Jetmoo As you stated, people who are on the receiving end of things are usually the one who empathize the most... In general people lack empathy and are too self centered, they would rather bring somebody down and feel better about themselves than to leave everybody be. They talk ****shit about other people,so they feel better about themselves and have something to talk about...

Unlike you I seem to learned my lesson, not to be too good with people (whether that is a good thing or not is another story). People take being too good as weakness or desperate.

Yeah when things mix, its hard to draw the line, DNA are tricky, if am not mistaken i even heard that experiences can be passed in the DNA like being scared of spiders...
