Grad Scheme Vs real job

Ive started applying for stuff for when i finish uni in May...its terrifying! i have so far applied for a great sounding grad scheme.

Which would you all say was better though, a grad scheme or a real job? Im planning to apply for both, and also some masters courses just in case i dont get anything else. but opinions are welcome!

Is the scheme something risky?
Do you stand to lose much if it doesn't work?

Maybe you should look at the 'Grad Scheme' in the same light as a "real job." So you feel confident about getting both. I believe in you!!

I'd favour the grad scheme over some work that would not be in your field. However, Sherlock's theory of job possibilities will definitely come into play:

1. The least desirable job option will come into play first, and you will be required to give an immediate decision.
2. If you accept this first job offer, you will immediately be contacted about that "dream job" that you want.
3. However, if you turn down the least desirable job offer that was presented to you first, no other job offers will follow!

haha well of course! luckily i should be in the position to sit and wait for offers to come in for a while. id only really applt to relevent jobs, if i was stuck then i can just go do a masters or go full time in the shop im in now. Its a good position to be in!

My advice: look to the future.

Where do you want to be 5, 10, 20 years from now?

Get all the education you can right now.

Don't let anything derail your plans to be all you can be!
