You stand better odds at church.

Why would you wish to narrow your search so much? Are there really many practicing Christians left?

- Because some people have the integrity not to compromise their beliefs to get something.

Is dating outside of your religion really compromising your beliefs? I mean I guess maybe it is for some... Just seems depressing to me. I don't think having the same religion would be high up on my list when searching for a partner !

So make clear on your profile you are not just looking for a one night stand? :) I met my partner on okcupid five years ago. We have different beliefs, which have actually changed over the time we've been together. Differences are not the enemy!

I agree with Dolly, all dating sites ask your intentions/expatiations for a relationship. You will still need to do some weeding and make common sense decisions but it is possible.

When it comes to believing in God, differences make every thing when you expect to marry those differences....

It's a matter of one's priority

Different strokes for different folks. Never considered this post was asking how to find someone to marry? But I guess that is a Christian thing for some...

Dating implies something more than just being friends.
The "friends with benefits" is fine for a world without restraint.

Oh right I must just have a friend with benefits for the past five years since I have no intention of marrying them. Our family's don't have any goats to trade tho so it could never be a traditional wedding anyway

A common remark of low caliber - doesn't affect my posterity any. Many people don't want to go the distance and that's fine for those without faith.

Go what distance? I will continue to be with my partner for as long as the relationship is healthy strong vibrant :) I endeavour to have the strength and courage to end our relationship if it is not serving us both.
I haven't said what mine or my partners faith or beliefs are

...and when times come and the relationship isn't as healthy, strong or shiny -

Exactly...

Dolly wrote:

...Yeah...

- Because the unity of the Christian relationship serves God, not the self. Casting your partner off isn't much of an option on cloudy days.

Dating is scary business. . Count your blessings. You really dont need a guy who will cheat on you and break your heart. Todays men are lying manipulating cheaters. Its not like the good ole days.

If religion is important to you, I suggest the church, they usually have gathering and stuff. At the end of the day we want to surround ourselves with people who are similar to us...

The dating site, plentyoffish.com, has hosted serial killers and fraudsters--probably the rest have, too, but the ones who used this web site have made the news frequently.

I stand by my assertion that only about 30% of people make good marriage partners. The rest are too selfish or too flawed in some way.

Beware of character flaws like addiction, laziness, uncontrollable tempers, disloyalty, dishonesty and deceitfulness.

You MIGHT find someone nice in a church. The only problem is that if it doesn't work out, you will hate seeing each other there--and someone will usually drop out of that church.

I just want to say good for you for sticking to your morals. But maybe try some different churches or church activity groups?

True. LittleNick may have been close to getting hitched here.

This might sound strange, but volunteer. Force yourself to reach out to others in your community. Personally I would not trust any app or web site to screen people for me. You know best what you like. By socializing away from places like bars you might be surprised what is out there.

We are all flawed. but I noticed many guys online don't want a relationship or anything long lasting and looking for whats in it for them. Im trying my best to be as independant and content being on my own as much as I can. I do have my challenges
