Help me figure this out.

Chloroquine... when I heard President Trump say today they would like to possibly use this to treat Coronavirus, my heart sank. As soldiers, we were given this overseas and it badly affected many of my comrades๏ฟผ. Many of us spit it out because it made us sick. The military is aware of this. It is said that it may have caused many of the โ€œPTSDโ€ cases. This drug commonly causes psychosis....! Iโ€™ve witnessed it first-hand.

Please research before you blindly start taking a medication. You have a choice. Remember that. Please share this with everyone you know. They need to make an informed decision. The studies below are just a handful...there are thousands more.

I'm not really ready to go through all that material right now, and in any case, I think they are switching to a different anti-viral treatment last time I heard, I forget what.

My dad was recently hospitalized for COVID and he was treated with a version of chloroquine, I belive it was hydroxychloroquine. We are not sure whether or not it helped, but it does not seem to have done any damage to him. He's home now and is completely recovered from covid, though he's still recovering from being laid up in the hospital for so long and from other underlying health issues that he has that the covid agitated.

I'm not a health expert and I rely on people like Fauci who said, even as Trump touted chloroquine, that it was still too early to tell if it was helping. I would hope they would not push it forward unless it was safe. Perhaps the side effects you are talking about are rare enough to warrant it's use, or maybe are only connected to certain versions of the drug. I believe you when you say you have witness ugly things happening, which makes it even scarier that Trump was saying we should use it when he did.

What does the world see when they look at the USA now?

Jetmoo wrote:

I think it is a form of causing division between those who are from USA and those outside of it and arrogance and perhaps a form of self idolatry

And treating one another in USA with more respect than people outside of it.

Traditiona should only be followed when people truly understand them but people mimic behaviour and do not ask questions. People do not like to stand alone. Safery comes in numbers is what people feel. Many are frightened to be different.

People dont like to attract negative attention to themselves

People want to be seen in socially desirable ways because they would like to be included in the social solidarity.

It feels good to be a part of something much bigger than themselves.

But we should always love our neighbour wherever they come from or live.

And people can be a part of something much bigger when they realise they are part of so ething much bigger than the USA. We are all a part of the human race which in itself shouls bring us together.

I agree and disagree. Both my parents are immigrants, I'm born in the US. I have gone back and forth in my life between idealistically patriotic when I was very young, to be totally disillusioned and unenthusiastic about my country as I got a little older, to now in my life where I think I am at a healthy medium.

There is nothing wrong with being proud of where you live. But you also have to being willing to question your government when they do something wrong or dishonest or are corrupt, etc. And you should always respect other cultures and peoples, and welcome visitors here as guests and not treat them with suspicion or like you are better than them.

I think you can be patriotic and still love other people from other countries, you are just proud of where you live and where you come from.

Don't let anyone tell you that Trump couldn't have done more about COVID-19

I dont believe the numbers of deaths from the virus are accurate. I believe they are inflated.

This is absolutely true. But it's not necessarily because of people lying or corruption. It's not always easy to tell how someone died right away. Reporting isn't perfect and it's hard to sort these things out as they come in. Public officials have acknowledged that the official death number will probably go down as new data comes in.

Another thing is there is actually two numbers which are usually combined: Confirmed covid deaths and presumed covid deaths, meaning deaths where they think covid killed the patient but they aren't sure.

But think about it. Over 70,000 people are reported dead. How inflated is it? Let's assume it's very inflated. If we assume that the number is 90 percent wrong, that's 7,000 people dead. That's still an incredible loss of life. We went to war for a terrorist attack after 2001 when 3000 people died.

Its not for us to judge because then we are seeing ourselves as having authority to do so, we dont have authority to judge others and we will be judged for that in itself.

When you live in a democracy, it's your duty as a citizen to judge your public officials conduct and performance and to vote accordingly. God may judge our immortal souls, but I do not believe God will strike Trump dead for not being a good President. If He exists, I pray that He will make Trump lose in the next election, and badly...but I don't think that's how it works. It's up to us to make this country as good as we can possibly make it, and part of that means having the intelligence and wherewithal to vote our corrupt president out of office.

I would not like to live in USA. Sorry if offends

I don't think that's offensive at all.

I dont understand the whole saluting the flag stuff either. Because no person is better than anotherm no group of people are better rhan any other group.

I agree with a certain amount of reverence for the flag and the anthem. It is a cultural thing. Like why is a middle finger offensive in one culture but a thumbs up is offensive in another country. We have a certain history and ways of thinking about our country...but. People definitely take it too far and get overly concerned with outward, symbolic shows of patriotism and don't look at how people actually act.

Has anyone watched the new Twilight Zone?

I agree the acting is good. And shocked at how bad the writing is. A couple of the eps were really ok, though none were stellar.

Rewatched most of the first season of the original series. Its so amazing in comparison.

I watched more out of curiosity than anything else. The acting was pretty good but a little higher budget might provide some needed help in the writing department.

I really don't get a few of the episodes. Like i don't really understand what happened at the end of A. Travler. And the last ep made me plain mad.

I'm not sorry that I'm not letting help be YOUR safe space where everyone has the same opinion as you and doesn't challenge anything you say.

We can all be friends and disagree.

It's a series. CBS all access. First season is ten episodes long and they were renewed for a second season.

Are you going to keep the blame game up?
Someday, you will have to take full responsibility for your short comings. We all have them.
You will have to walk away from your safe space and get real.
I really dont believe, you believe all your rhetoric.
You have been obviously programed. Someone has taught you that green is pink. You bought into it and would defend that with a virle fight. You need to see that green is green. It has always been green.
Maybe, for once in your life really listen to other points of view. They are very valid.

Let me know when you're ready to offer one.
