Happy new year guys :)

๐ŸŽ‰ Happy New Year all!

Donโ€™t drink too much, and please donโ€™t drive regardless of how much you drink.

If you donโ€™t drink- go crazy! Enjoy the parties and all of that.

Why can't I write?

Sometimes I'll feel really inspired and I'll start writing and it will be good. But I end up writing too much and it doesn't turn out to be clear and cohesive. It's just a stream of writing and I get lost in the revision process.

1) This ^^ is GOOD. Do that more. Just let it flow. Don't worry about spelling, grammar, or anything like that.

2) Never delete ANYTHING. Go back and revise to your heart's content, but do NOT delete anything. If you feel like it's bad/awful/whatever, throw some notes on the page for future self- stuff you don't like, things you missed out, WHY you feel it's bad, then save & quit.

3) Agreed with the other writers- jump around! Don't feel the need to focus on a single story. That's how you get burned out/experience writer's block.

You want to write? Write. Stop trying to write the most amazing, perfectly written story you've ever heard. It takes practice. The best thing you can practice is just writing. You'll notice as you practice more and more, you'll start to hate your stories less and less. You'll revise less and less. (You'll still probably revise a TON- that's just how humans are.) Then you can go back to those old stories you had, and you can revise them and improve on them. (Still don't delete them though.)

You don't have to be published next month. Just jot stuff down. Let all of your ideas pour onto paper. Let them all out of you. And keep doing that. Do your best to organize them, but don't get hung up on that. Just let it all come out. Then come back and organize later.

When you're feeling especially passionate/motivated, just explode. Don't hold yourself back or "set goals" to try to work on a single story. Just write it all out. Then come back later and clean it up.

I was once married.

I fell head over heels in love. We were unofficially engaged. It didn't work out because she was forced to move across the country. She's now married to somebody else, and I've been with my current SO for 5 years. Marriage is probably in the near-future for us as well.

I make a habit of making drastic changes to my life/personality, despite being relatively stable and preferring things to remain the same.

I'm a contradiction to myself, and I always have been. ๐Ÿ˜„

Please don't forget about our goal of $120.15.

We hit $120.79 for the domain as of this morning. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Buying the domain is the cheaper side of hosting, the biggest cost is actually hosting the server, especially as the site becomes more popular/more users start to join, as we'd need to throw more money at it to make it bigger/faster to sustain the usage.

I never expected any donations or anything from this site, as I was happy to just put it up. So everything is greatly appreciated. I'm glad it's taken on well. Now we just need to drive more users to it. ๐Ÿ˜‰

My brother is a firefighter, and honestly- one of the โ€œbestโ€ people I know. He works hard to maintain his physique, heโ€™s passionate about the job, and is an overall very respectable man- and he speaks highly of his team.

It may depend on the area, city, etc. Some places pay more, and thus have higher standards that must be adhered to, regulations, etc.

Are pit bulls safe to have as a domestic dog?

Correlation isnโ€™t causation.

Bad people have a tendency of choosing pit bulls the same way old ladies choose poodles. โ€œToughโ€ people choose a โ€œtoughโ€ dog, then suck at raising it so it gets vicious.

When Iโ€™m using the word tough in this post, I refer to thug-type people who think they need to prove theyโ€™re bad in order to validate themselves. These are generally the same people who may have a tendency of being involved in a mugging, robbery, or are generally just mean or abusive people and aren't afraid to show that to the world.

If an old lady got a pit bull, it likely wouldnโ€™t be problematic. If a โ€œtoughโ€ guy got a poodle, and raised it by yelling at it and smacking it every time it misstepped, it would probably grow to be vicious.

Just because bad owners choose pit bulls doesnโ€™t make them bad dogs.

Sure, genes DO play a roll in that, and because of their strength- I wouldnโ€™t recommend a pit bull for a first-time dog owner. Like any other breed, pit bulls need a lot of care and attention. Unfortunately most dogs/pets are neglected after the first exciting period (6 months to a year?) is over.

I wonder how many people are killed by humans each year? Iโ€™ll bet itโ€™s many times higher than the number of people killed by pit bulls. But we still let people roam the streets without leashes. Why?

Because groups should not be judged for the actions of an individual.
