I have been ill for over a week now.

So are you better? I've actually had the flu and it's no joke. Two weeks of projectile vomiting and diarrhea and a temperature around 103 or 104 until you get so dehydrated you start hallucinating. It will kill elderly or weak people. Most of what people call the flu is just them not taking care of themselves when they get a common cold and runny nose and try to work until they have pneumonia. Hope you're better. And yeah the only time I did have the flu was when I was little and I had a flu shot... so there's that.

I am curious if any of you guys who aren't American follow USA politics, and if you like our president?

I was watching him today and he was talking about how Harley-Davidson was going bankrupt because other countries charged them like $5000 import tax and he was going to do the same thing to Japan to import a motorcycle and see how everyone liked it. He was sick and tired of America being Mr. Nice Guy and taking it up the butt from all the other countries. I had to stand up and cheer. He says what I want to hear, I wish he would do more of it. BUILD THE WALL!

Questions for guys - Are you happier being with your wife/gf or your group of bros??

I like that I can say naughty things and Sherlock gets held up quoting me.. hah. And really I think it is all a matter of who you spend most of your time with. Now that I am married it's like a vacation to be out with the boys. When I was sharing an apartment with a guy and running with a bunch of outlaws it was waaaay more enjoyable to spend a weekend with a pretty girl that was clean and smelled nice and had manners.

My grandfather died last week because he needed a transfusion and no one knew his blood type.

I've never seen Idiocracy but I feel like I have. My son has seen it and we work together so we are around each other all the time. Anyway, almost every day we see something that reminds him of a scene in the movie and so he goes into great detail describing the scene and how it ties in to what is going on around us... so apparently we really are becoming an idiocracy.

It only makes sense though. I mean for tens of thousands of years we evolved because the smartest, strongest people survived and had the most children because they were able to feed them and care for them. So the genes of the smartest, strongest people were passed on and the weak and stupid were killed off or starved.

Now we reward people for being stupid. We take money away from those who succeed and give it to those who don't. If you can't feed your kids you don't stop having kids, the government sends you a check to feed your kids and hey, if you have more kids they give you even more money. So if you want more money you just have more stupid kids and your government check and government subsidized apartment gets bigger. Idiocracy here we come!

I haven’t gotten any cravings to smoke (Day 10 Nicotine free!) but I’ve been told I’m crankier, I have a gross cough that won’t go away, and I’m tired all the time.

I have had cravings ALL day :( But I’m ignoring them!

@DocteurRalph our stories on how we started are very similar. My best friend smoked and I started at 25. It’s 6 years later now! She quit about 3 years ago.

@Sherlock It’s true - Lung cancer is devastating and should be the face of big tobacco. 😔

The cigarette packets have horrendous pictures on them, some make you feel physically sick.
I'm surprised how people can still smoke when they see those images.

They don't do that in the USofA. I wish they did.

And how did you feel about Obama or Hillary Clinton or any of the other recent presidents or presidential candidates? Do the people in the UK view us as warmongers or peacekeepers?

I've always heard everyone else hates Americans as being fat, lazy, stupid, and obnoxious... is it just our media telling us that or is it true? I know the press in the USA hates Trump but all our media outlets are in NYC or LA and those are both very liberal areas. Everyone not in a huge city seems to have voted for Trump, and everyone in a megalopolis voted against him.

Pay Pal works pretty good too. They refunded me some money I sent to a fake shopping mall. Like $300...

It's weird I'm smoking now more than I ever have and I don't even like it. I thought it was a gross nasty habit and didn't start until I was 37.. I was on a trip to Florida and my wife was smoking in the car for 10 hours straight so I told her she might as well give me one too. An hour later I asked for one more and she told me to buy my own. That was the first pack of cigarettes I ever bought, at 37 years old! I could still never smoke until noon and I had eaten, they made me feel sick but I puffed away about a third of a pack a day.

Then the best thing happened, they stopped making the cigarettes I smoked and I couldn't find one I liked so I just stopped. So I smoked for about 5 years, then quit for about 10 years, then started smoking again about 5 or 6 years ago and I can smoke a pack every day now... I don't get it. I don't even enjoy it but man do I crave it.
