My sister-in-law passed away early this morning.

Thanks helpbot, but no worries. ๐Ÿ˜Œ

Anyone fly fished for pike?

That is a nice fish.

I wish I could cross the pond so that we could go fishing together. :) I actually need to get my fishing licence again this year. :/

Manthy, I am so sorry. Know that you don't have to suffer through this alone.

Not fly fished... but I have used a number of lures. ๐Ÿ˜„

First off- my deepest condolences. Iโ€™m so sorry to hear about this, Manthy. Losing a family member- especially one youโ€™re very close to- is heart wrenching. Weโ€™re all here for you.

@soco Personally donโ€™t see the point- I can sometimes be a little dull in these areas.
I know itโ€™s been discussed to have a commemoration page of some sorts- in addition, we could also add an icon to the user similar to the star mods receive, if thatโ€™s the goal here?

Making her a moderator isn't a mark of honour, mods are just people to keep others in line.

I don't recall her showing any interest in being a mod.

I'm totally on board with doing something to honour her, she is an amazing woman.
We used to talk on a daily basis and that only stopped when she moved somewhere with poor internet.

She is a fantastic person and deserves so much more than what she has been dealt.

I second this.

I prefer maps that use the Military Grid Reference System (MGRS), which is MUCH easier to work with than degrees, minutes and seconds!

For sure!
I needed the map for this past weekend. I went camping with the cadets. Ultimately I used the map I drew the grid lines on for, and I made it use the same system as the MGRS.

And given the difficulty that the cadets had on the nav course I set up, I doubt that they could have used degrees and minutes...

Fishing is way better in the rain. ๐Ÿ˜Š

I donโ€™t know much about maps, but didnโ€™t Google Earth have an option to print areas and add the lng/last lines?

I looked at google earth, but I couldn't figure out how to add the lines. Likely it is something simple, yet it eluded me.

Fish actually bite better in the rain in my experience. Heck with the map, the Northern Pike are biting!

This is true. I think if I can find the time, I'm going to go fishing tomorrow.
