When you are living at home, it seems like you will ne there forever. You won't be. You do not want to die. Especially, you don't want to become 2/3 brain dead after an unsuccessful suicide attempt. Please think strategically--five to ten years down the road. Visualize yourself in your own happy home. You can transcend the present circumstances. And not only that, someone will want and need YOU in the near futute. Are you willing to be there for that person?

I have been ill for over a week now.

You have to stay warm to recover. Use a scarf around your neck. Cover your head and ears. Wear warm socks and boots and gloves. Drink warming beverages. Go inside to warm up often. Wear a good coat with down or Thinsulate insulation. Take hot baths at home. You will soon be well.

Ah, yes, but if you are still in the house, then you are still their "child." They will always think that way as long as you are there.

Before talking to your landlord, walk a mile in his moccasins. Imagine what it would be like to be old and disabled, with no family around to help you.

Not saying you should be a slave--just saying to think what it would be like to trade places with him.
