I really am grateful to be in this place surrounded by old friends.

I've been racking my noggin trying to think of a way to possibly exchange gifts, on a volunteer basis similar to a secret Santa.
The only thing I can think of is a gift of a delivered pizza, or something similar paid for by the gifter and delivered to the giftee. I doubt anyone in the US want to make a international call across the pond to place a food order, or vice versa. So... any thoughts?

Hm....that sounds really nice, actually; but maybe a little difficult, as you mentioned.

I think that it would be awesome for all of us to get to know each other well on here and maybe have an "in real life" reunion one of these days

I think I think the best way to โ€œhelpโ€ each other is to just be available on here to guide through problems and bad situations! I know a lot of people have family troubles around the holidays (Wish it was the opposite) so being here to just be a shoulder I think is a very worthwhile gift to those in need!

A thought just occurred to me about a gift exchange.... If everyone were to create a wishlist on Amazon someone else could purchase something there for them....

I think that would be about the only way to give a gift, other than the aforementioned pizza deliveries.

That said. I think that the other problem with the gift idea would be the simple costs. I know that this year the holidays are going to be tight for me... :/

There are websites that can help you do a secret Santa with any number of people. Elfster.com is one

I think pepper Jelly's idea to meet up would be great.

For the other part - I imagine a lot of people would be wary about giving their home address to people on a website.

Back in the day I met up with a few of the old Help.com bunch @ProffVampy for one. The only one still here as far as I know for now. We would meet up in London and descend on Nando's. Made some close friends so I definitely think it's a good idea.

I met a couple of people off here.

Sheer distance is the main issue, but I'd love to meet more.

Evanscent is coming staying with me next summer, we have met in person before.

Anyone willing to have Jebus come and stay for a sleep-over?

Think it is gift enough to have all my friends back in this "place" that is so so close to the original it feels like home. It's reassuring and heart warming.

Gift idea is great, but I for one are flat broke, so won't be able to participate.

You are right. We are surrounded by many of our old friends and that is a present itself. I am super-pleased to see us back together. I must admit, I cried the day I joined. I could not believe what I was seeing. Hugs all around to you and many others here especially @Rockster160 He might get the longest hug of all. Hope he doesn't suffocate.... lol

Don't feel alone. I can't stop crying either. As a matter of fact I'm crying as I'm typing.
