Where do you find a job?

Any sites any of you have luck with? Where's a good place to start?

I have a college education, but no desire to pursue a career in my degree, and no certified vocational skill. I'm 31 or 32, I forget which.

Any ideas?

I have a job right now, but the company isn't doing fabulously, and there doesn't seem to be much chance of advancement in the near future unless the company's fortunes change dramatically.

Find a company you want to work for and check the website regularly.

I find with job sites there are too many applicants and the deadline has passed, closed early, or has been filled before i see it.

Or if your like me and never seem to get the job, i create my own job ๐Ÿ’ช

Job fairs, meetups, friends... The secret to finding a job is knowing somebody. So make friends with somebody that works at a place you want to work at. Ask friends if their work is hiring. It's all about the people you know, unfortunately. ๐Ÿ˜…

I've had success with LinkedIn.

Just be clear what you are looking for.

I've gotten all of my jobs from asking friends and acquaintances if they know of any openings!

Simple answer: any place that is hiring or has a job opening. And they are different. A business with a sign in the window NOW HIRING may not actually have a job opening. Still other businesses are not advertising at all, but if you do some homework and find out the people you need to talk to you can just about b.s. your way into a position there.
