Legion has left the building.

Given my current situation and state of mind, and reading the replies and advices given here by some it's likely in my best interest to leave and never return. So I'm off, maybe in more ways than just leaving help.

It seems there's a little more than just the replies you see going on here.

Your last reply was over a month and a week ago.

What's going on Legion? Some talk is better than none - and no one here is a mind reader. Must be present (from time to time) so we know you're at least alive.

It also seems you mentioned the health of family members closest to you. Is that going well? Yes, no?

After reading that I handed out some advice that caused further problems for another member, I too am on the road OUT,Legion.
Wishing you so much good luck.
But lets face it...this is NOT the old Help.com.
I don't know if people just are not catching on to the whole HELP idea or what the problem is....but it just has not caught the magic that the original HELP had 10 years ago.
Times change.
People change.
Me too....guess I've grown up and away.....

It is not the same as old Help, you are right @~CaraMia~. It is not as popular. Yet. But it is coming. We need to be patient. Rome was not built in a day.

That said, we need you. Help-QA is better with you than without. We give advice. Good or bad or indifferent. But it shows a willingness to participate. And if there are things you don't like, be the change that makes it better.

We need you. And you too @Legion.

I know this site is a lot slower than the original help but it's barely started.
Why don't you just give it a chance. I am. I'm sure most of us here are all thinking the same but we're still hanging in there..

I counsel patience.

It's always a risk that some advice may make things worse. We are not there to see how the advice is applied. And there are always variables.

One thing is for certain--we are all on a journey, and it helps to make that journey with friends.

We are always the poorer when anyone leaves the group and strikes out on his or her own.

Please be a little patient--and help to bring about the great "Help.com revival"!

People whom you thought were your friends may desert you.

And then people you didn't really know were your friends go out of their way to help you.

I don't know what the reasons are for anyone else leaving this site...but for me it really began as a HORROR that passed thru me...And the thought of causing harm to anyone...especially children...really knocked me down hard.
I am referring to PepperJelly's post about the bugs.
I made a suggestion...one that I thought was good and safe...but according to what Pepper said, it caused a lot of distress for her and her family.
I could not deal with that very well AT ALL.
I felt that I would rather axe myself away from this site rather than to ever cause that again....
It hurt....way too much.

But Pepper has corresponded with her assurances that it just wasn't the case.
I thank the heavens that my words did not cause all of the misery that she went through.

And I hope that she gets all of those little problems taken care of completely.

Life is a learning process and things just happen sometimes. If we were able to "control" everything and answer or fix everything, the help site would be not needed. Nor would a lot of things that cause stress. Leaving anything or quitting should only happen if it benefits, helps or prevents harm. If someone is spending too much time here and ignoring their responsibilities, it's a management of time thingy:)
That woman having bugs is completely not your responsibility. Pepper is a responsible adult who thought with her heart inside of her head:)
The student apartments and hotels are full of bugs! YUCK!
