How do you keep moving forward without falling into the trap of seeing if the grass is greener?

Don't commit until it's proven or on paper. Depends on the risk, current responsibilities and the "truths". Do a little due diligence:)
Or....jump!

It depends on the circumstances entirely.

Sometimes the grass is greener

You'll always see greener grass....but it's not yours.
There's nothing like knowing you had a good thing until after you have lost it. But once gone....it's gone.
So, you keep what you have and you work on it. Over time, you get something that you actually want to keep.
...Then someone else sees it and thinks it's "greener" than what they have...well...it is.

I know for a fact grass is greener.
I also know if I want my life to change I have to keep watering that grass.
As with anything in life, if you take care of it you will benefit one way or another.

Seeing that the grass I'd greener is the biggest motivation for moving forward ... if we don't see greener grass then our lives would be so stagnant.

Do you want your life to be a sterile golf course, or a rich and complex meadow? So the grass is greener on the golf course, but it's boring. You can play golf on it, but there's nothing else to see or do. Move through your meadow. Look at the shrubs and mice and birds. Gather wild berries. That green grass will lose all its appeal.

The grass is always greener, but there are also some weeds in there.

At a certain point, I think, I accepted my life as is and realized that I'm 1 in 7 billion, and that my life doesn't HAVE to be spectacular. I only have to be indispensible to my loved ones. And the gift of living, giving, and loving..... and appreciating that for what it is.... makes it spectacular.

All this talk about grass.
Why is it I have a strong urge to smoke a bowl?
