I used to get sick at my grandmother's house all the time. Really sick. Traveling is hard on people's bodies, it's not the child's fault but yeah that really sucks for everyone. Sorry Pep.

It is. He has pneumonia... and cried at DisneyWorld, begging to go home.

I think part of the problem was the pace we were keeping.

And yes, Dr. Ralph, travel most certainly is hard on a person!

All is okay now. We tried to mitigate the disappointment for the older 3 kids. On the way home, we had planned 4 beach days, a day in Mobile, AL, 2 days in New Orleans, and a day in Dodge City, KS.

Instead, we drove short distances and got into hotels early so that he could rest.

Other kids got 2 beach days, and I even carried my 6 year old out to the beach one day...nature is good for health, I think. He and I stayed an hour and he got to sit in the small waves and watch the water/look for seashells. Then we went back to the hotel.

Instead of NOLA, Mobile.... we used that time to drive less and rest more....a lot longer "on the road," but he needed rest.

We had planned to eat 90% of meals out of a cooler, but we let each of the kids pick a restaurant on the way home.

When we got home, 6 year old went to bed (after primary doc visit) and slept for about 20 hours one day and 20 the next. I think he was able to relax at home, finally.
