i hate this site half the time.

Lol are you really mad bc there are filters and NSFW warnings? Seems like a minor thing to get worked up over.

Im sorry that happened with you. Its not easy from either side

Iโ€™m glad that your sister believes you now. Having emotional support is so important!

Thank you.

I don't put up with bullshit in life much less death. This girls death in on her and not you. I've known plenty of types like this - proud, bold, attention seekers always right, never wrong and always a victim and continually hysterical of minor issues.

Let yourself off the hook.

Its very important to talk about mental health issues. As-long as its real and not made up. Big difference

I think there are far more people out there who have undiagnosed or untreated mental health issues than there are โ€œattention seekersโ€ and 1. Iโ€™m not a doctor and 2. I would rather take a cry for help at face value than assume itโ€™s a lie.

I knew this one girl who was EXACTLY the kind of person youโ€™re talking about. She was... exasperating. And she threatened to kill herself all of the time - if her bf broke up with her, or if my (then bf) didnโ€™t stop her bf from leaving her, etc. She had self diagnosed mental illnesses aplenty and she constantly lied.

I didnโ€™t believe her and then one day she did kill herself.

So I take that ****shit pretty seriously now.

I think talking about mental health is important. I donโ€™t know anyone who would consider being mentally ill โ€œfashionableโ€.

Yโ€™all need to make better friends if youโ€™re surrounding yourselves with people who self diagnose and use it as an excuse to behave poorly.

Can't do that walking into an empty flat.

True! ๐Ÿ˜‚ but not every day has to be spent together if youโ€™re an introvert and need space ๐Ÿ˜Š

@Yorick Iโ€™m the same way as you - I absolutely hated dating and was single for YEARS between my husband and last boyfriend. I also like my alone time...

Most of the people I know met their significant others through friends/family. How often do you socialize? Maybe a social hobby would introduce you to some new people. I know my DH larps and meets people all the time (which is something I tease him about mercilessly lol but I have to admit some of the people he goes out with are super badass) and then there are gyms that are class oriented like CrossFit or MMA where you wind up being friends with the people there.

And as for preferring to live alone but wanting a relationship - thatโ€™s one of the pluses about dating. You can go home and do things the way you want!
