Hm... That's possible @soco - The hard part is determining what is/isn't HTG since it all got merged.

@Eddieee - They're all combined, and HTG lost all of the dates for the old replies, so all of the original Help content says it was posted on the date HTG was created. Can't get around that one, unfortunately. ๐Ÿ˜ž So posts might have been written 10 years old, but they say they're 3 years and 10 months old instead.

That's the more recent posts- but there is a LOT buried in the depths. The original Help data is the stuff that's a little more obfuscated because of the lost formatting, but the majority of the data IS the original Help. HTG is just the top chunk, so you have to dig through that stuff to get to the gold. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Thatโ€™s the thing- thereโ€™s nothing to โ€œdeserveโ€ you donโ€™t have to deserve a life to be given it. See it as a gift. But itโ€™s a wasted gift if you throw it away.

You may not desire it now, but that doesnโ€™t mean you wonโ€™t later- every day you live is another gift to your future self- gifts you WILL appreciate when the time comes.

If you feel nothing and have no desires- just coast for now. No need to just throw everything everything away and stop any good from ever happening again. No sense in losing all future potential because of boredom or lack of (current) interest for this world.

I wonโ€™t pretend that I know exactly what youโ€™re going through- I donโ€™t, and nobody does. We all live our own lives and through our own situations.

Despite that- we all follow similar patterns- we have hard times and as we continue on they get better and we run into other problems.

It sounds like you need a new psychiatrist. Maybe try seeing a psychologist instead? (They focus on getting to the roots of the issues and handling them rather than masking them under drugs, like psychiatrists.)

Listen to your doctors. Theyโ€™ve got a lot more school and know a lot more about your health.

It sounds like you talk about killing yourself like itโ€™s something small. Killing yourself is so much more than cutting or self-harm. Itโ€™s permanent, irreversible, and it โ€œlocks inโ€ all of the problems. Things donโ€™t get better. It simply removes your ability to ever fix any of the issues you are going through. At least sticking around there is hope for things to get better. Live for hope.

Growing up, my life went up and down a lot, but I always seemed to get a lot more โ€œlowest lowโ€ than โ€œhighest highsโ€ and things got worse and worse for a long time.
At some point, things stopped getting worse. There was still ups and downs, but the โ€œlowest lowโ€ stopped occurring. Things started getting better and it took a while and before I realized, I got to a point where I could honestly say my life was good.

I know many others that have gone through the same situation. My lowest point was probably around age 16-17. Some people reach it at 24 or even 30. Those might seem far away, but itโ€™s WORTH the wait. And I can promise you that. The wait is ALWAYS worth it. Even if, in the best case scenario, after suicide your conscience goes into nothing- youโ€™ll be nothing for all eternity, and your last piece of existence was miserable and you never got to experience the best of the best that youโ€™ll get to have. If nothing else, stick around just to see the best moment of your life and at that time youโ€™ll be so happy you stuck around because itโ€™s so worth it.

Cake mix cookies - why do my cookies turned out either burnt or are too liquid?

You can make cookies from cake mix? Sounds dangerous... I usually just make the cookies from scratch. ๐Ÿ˜‹

now you can see what slight differences there are between here and there

What do you mean? The archives are still just data feeding through the new siteโ€™s code- so itโ€™s actually the new site, just with the old posts and such. ๐Ÿ˜„

How can I have both extremely high, AND low self-esteem?Over time, I had a period of my life which seemed like non-stop, unrelenting bad situations piling up one after another.

Same way you can be great at football but horrible at tennis.
Work and personal lives are different. You are comfortable and happy with who and where you at in your work life. But your personal life is lacking. So you need to work on improving it!

Iโ€™d recommend going to meet ups and other events. Join groups in your area with like minded people.

I want to try and reach out to see how they are doing now. My past training is in helping the sexually abused and ****rape crisis.
Padre was the one that replied to her shortly after the site was closing. Thanks.

No luck. ๐Ÿ˜ž
Most of the original help emails are lost. Another unfortunate side effect of the HTG conversion.

I was able to load the Post of Legend's, actually! Did a test on the post with the highest number of replies. ๐Ÿ˜‰ It probably only worked for me because there was nobody else doing anything at the time.

And yep! I think I'll get HelpBot to work on cleaning those up as well. A user without any posts or replies is likely once an actual user that was anonymous, but HTG didn't like anonymous, so they created a new user in their place without any data, and that got translated across as well.
