Anyone got thoughts on the following:

Nope. None at all.

It seems that my opinions apparently differ a lot from the majority of the people here now; so I'm just plain scared to even contribute lest I start a nasty debate that will end up with me realizing I should have just kept my mouth shut in the first place.

I've matured enough over the years to learn how to learn from my mistakes.

What is the reason people drive in very loud cars?

I have this kind of problem around my house. I live by a main road that is separated by a park-area. Most of it happens at around midnight-3AM and they're usually trying to do burn-outs, or speeding because the road traffic is scarce. I'm still trying to figure out the answer. It's probably a number of things.

They're sociopaths
They have self-esteem issues so they're trying to compromise
They think it makes them look/sound cool by showing off.
Their parents failed to teach them common sense and decency
They're probably of low intellect and can't figure out how to get a new, less disturbing hobby.
They're probably on drugs.
Or it's a combination of all of the above

Whichever it is, I often call out (not that they can hear me, but it makes me feel better) "I hope you crash into a wall." Maybe they'll think twice when they have two broken legs and can't drive for a while.

This post is mainly an inquiry to women however guys input is also welcome.

I am completely fine with it, and I support their rights. I even have transmen as some of my closest friends. In fact, one of them is probably one of the very few people I trust completely.

Jenner, however, is just insulting. They're a walking hypocrisy and bad example of what not to be like.

As for the religious part of the question, I won't get into it because my faith is personal and not anyone else's business but my own. My romantic interest (we're not officially dating yet) is Atheist and even respects that, I don't see why everyone has to define a person's character or sanity/insanity by whether they are religious or not.

However, if someone knocks at mys door at 8:30AM on a Saturday to try and proselytize to me, I have every right to look at them like they've grown two heads and loudly question why the HELL would they annoy me on my day off from unpleasant discussions.

Actually, it's 4:22AM right now, and I really shouldn't have even mentioned it...

Does anyone here use an ISP that’s not Verizon, Cox, or Comcast?

@Aria I haven’t seen season 3 of Jessica Jones yet, I didn’t even know about Luke Cage and am now totally bummed because I loved that show, and I couldn’t get into the Punisher. DH loves Lucifer but that’s another show I couldn’t get into.

I've only just started on season 3. I spend most of my time on Netflix these days. So sorry that you didn't know about Luke Cage, though! I was definitely climbing the walls when it was announced. They had it announced together that they were all ending at their next seasons, so it was a triple disappointment for me. I'm a long-time comic fan and collector, so I eat up all the shows and movies of it. DCU on the small screen does far better than their big screen works, where Marvel shines on the big screens. The Punisher was one of the few Marvel works that did well away from the box office.

@Aria I would happily pay my ISP for the reasons you’re using your own. I think it’s so important to support local businesses, I commend you helping your neighbors this way. I wish there was something like this where I live.

They took off Jessica Jones! That’s still on our region’s Netflix.

I wish local options were a choice everywhere, to be honest. Privatization and outsourcing is a huge issue economically. Sure it may be cheaper for the CEO's, but it shifts the economy into an imbalance, I think. Hire cheap employees while the employers get richer, and screw the rest. At this point, I'd be happy to wash dishes for less than minimum wage just to gain employment - and I'm in a first world country already.

Oh, Jessica Jones is still on our Netflix...but they cancelled the series. (And don't even get me started on Luke Cage and The Punisher series they tossed out too) But, I can't be too mad at them since they saved Lucifer, and my heart was devastated when I thought season 3 was the final.

Yup. But I'm in Australia. We have an entirely different set of ISPs. I chose mine due to the company's HQ being based in my city, and not privatized and outsourced to another country. Just because it's more convenient if my modem craps out, to drive to the HQ and pick up a new one in an hour, as opposed to waiting 5-7 business days for it to be shipped over the ocean...

That, and it keeps local jobs. We have the highest unemployment rate in the country, to the point everyone is leaving to find work overseas. Ie; I have a friend who had to move to Saudi Arabia for his work (and he has a PH.d), a cousin of mine had to move to England to find a job, and another cousin had to leave our metro area to work in small towns in other states just to be a bartender...

Like seriously, you know it's bad when its hard to get a job selling BOOZE to people who are depressed about being jobless.

So I feel like my choice is trying to help a little, and they have awesome customer service. I've been a happy customer for over 10 years. They provide my internet, my phone, and soon, they'll even have me as a streaming service customer. Especially since Stan and Netflix keeps removing all my favorite stuff.

Give me back Broadchurch and Jessica Jones, you bastards!

Are you intimidated by intelligent people?

I'm intimidated by people in general. I do however, envy intelligent people. Heck even as a high school drop out who's government stinks at letting us re-educate as adults; I envy anyone who finished 10th grade public level. I can't even get a job in retail without those extra 6 months I missed out on.

But yeah, people just scare me. I try mostly to stay out of everyone's way these days. Less terrifying, and less painful. They don't get disappointed with me, and I don't have to protect myself from them. It's a win-win.

You might think I wasted your time but I didn't.

I have definitely felt like this about some people in my life. Or rather, who I have cut out of my life.

I consider them emotional rapers that I gave far too much liberty to, because I figured avoiding the drama, was more important than my own well-being.

But my own health that was affected, was drama in itself and I didn't realized until they almost destroyed me. It took me years to heal, and some...I'm still healing from even after a decade.
