I start really really early BA1. Like July.
Blame my parents. They would host a party every year. It gained so much popularity it had to be moved into the street. My Dad was a church organist and recorded some classic Christmas songs on, back then, cassette tape. They would rehearse singing songs before heading out into the neighborhood to go, you guessed it, caroling. In shorts and Hawaiian shirts. The last year they did this they had nearly 125 couples show up. It even made the local paper several times which is how it grew so big. Put a smile on so many faces, even kids. Both have since passed on but I remember those days fondly.

Oh, and yes alcohol was involved....

Iโ€™m seen as more of a grinch. ๐Ÿ˜„ Don't really get much in the holiday spirit and despise holiday music....

That really is something. It's difficult for me to dwell on memories when communities gathered like that.
I'll be home watching "A Christmas Story," Miracle on 34th Street," "The Blue Bird," and "A Tree Grows In Brooklyn."

Well, i was going to link a song from You Tube but I just couldn't find the version of the song I was looking for.
