Post closed, thank you for your help

Just FYI, I basically stay out of people's marriage issues. It's not for me to fix, or figure out...that is between the husb and wife.

However, when she talks to me, I empathize, but don't say much other than marriages take a lot of work and that type of thing....

I have, however, said that he needs to "step up" because he is not working and hasn't for a year or more, and doesn't care to work. They have lots of debt and she is working two jobs and taking as much OT as she can get, making her exhausted and cranky and sad that she is missing so much time with her 4 year old daughter

Anyone remember the longest post ever?

To clarify: not that I don't care about the PERSON. It's that I don't care to figure out WHO it is

Anyone remember the longest post ever?

Other than the troll issue, which was addressed, I don't really care and prob won't vote.

I have only posted/replied anon a handful of times on the OH way back when. Once was to tell a suicide poster to get over it, basically. I know it was very mean and horrible of me, but DAFT PUCK discovered "me" and gave me a warning :)Additionally, I don't spend any time trying to decipher the anons. I don't have time for that and don't care too much about who it is that decides that they need to post anon for whatever reason. I will say that sometimes I give anon posts less consideration, though. Not in a mean way (except the one time mentioned already), but in a way that I breeze past them and move on to posts that aren't anon; or I reply briefly without giving a whole lot of thought to my replies....

Agree.

Admin needs to be able to identify trolls and mean people and ban them.

Have people forgotten how to respectfully disagree?

Yes.

The "powers that be" want to divide us and make us hate one another. When you hate someone, you can't be respectful in your disagreement

Have you changed since help closed years ago?

YES on the change.

I have always wanted to be a loner...I chose to be that way.

But now I am actually happier than I have ever been...I find it much easier to breathe again....I do NOT feel so alone anymore...I smile a lot...chatter a lot...just....HAPPIER....I'll leave it at that for now.

I will say this though....When somebody makes you feel GREAT about yourself, treat them the same way...and you realize what happens to your heart....it comes alive.

I wish this for each and every one of you on this site.

PEACE and LOVE......Cara

How do you keep moving forward without falling into the trap of seeing if the grass is greener?

At a certain point, I think, I accepted my life as is and realized that I'm 1 in 7 billion, and that my life doesn't HAVE to be spectacular. I only have to be indispensible to my loved ones. And the gift of living, giving, and loving..... and appreciating that for what it is.... makes it spectacular.

No- people change over time. It also depends on your mood when taking the test- if youโ€™re stressed or in a rush you may answer differently than if you were calm and collected.
