I'll be honest. I don't know the other part of this story. It sounds like you told everyone about this and I'm coming in at the after post

I dont know what she did but if she did something really bad and you cant risk her being in your home maybe you can point her in the direction of some shelters or churches.

If what she did is something that was a mistake but she can be giving 1 more chance after you lay out some clear rules and she is sorry and gives you some verbal or written word she wont do it again you can tell your husband it's only temporary just till she has another place or compromise with him by seeing what he needs/expects from her to be comfortable with her back.

If she did something really bad though and it's not in your best interest to welcome her back point her kn the direction of help, give her hotline numbers. But she has to live with the consequences of her actions

You cant set yourself on fire just to keep everyone else warm

We thought that having a room mate would be a good way for us to be in a win/win situation with someone....we could use a little extra money and we were renting out a safe, comfortable space for a very low price. We also told this one woman that she could live here for free from Feb through May. Just to help her get on her feet and all.

She lived in a pretty bad neighborhood and was in a bad situation with a man. She paid all the rent where she was because he never stepped up. It was $750/month plus about $80/month in utilities. Here, utilities would be included and rent would be $400/month. The room was bigger than her old living room/kitchen combined; and she had use of the whole main level of the house as well. She is a 60 year old woman with some health issues. She never had children, so she was even looking forward to my 4 kids who live here.

So we began the process of moving her in. As we were moving her desk in, bugs were literally falling off of it.

Come to find out: she had a VERY SERIOUS infestation of bed bugs. She'd had them in her apartment complex for 7 months already. My boys told me that they saw bugs crawling up the window sills and door sills of her apartment and that they were crawling all over her furniture (I need glasses, btw, so I didn't see them). We put her stuff into our van and brought her to our house.

Come to find out, she had been let go from her job BECAUSE of bed bugs. And she never told us that she had them. She knew, and didn't tell us

I had her stay in the one room and hired an exterminator, who came out 2 days after we learned of the infestation. It cost us over $3,000.00. My husband told her that she would have to move out. She moved into the homeless shelter, but that is just for cold weather months. It closes today.

We should make this a secular site.

I belong to the churches of HUMANITY....all and every.

But...that is MY choice. I don't care what anyone else thinks.
This is a very rough world out here.
I do what I need to just to know PEACE...and LOVE....and HOPE for us all.

^^^^ Three cheers right there.

Also, I'm very happy to see so many old users defending religious freedom. Like Yeti said, we've known each other a long time and have a strong bond. I'm also happy about that.

I'm a Christian. I won't ever shove Christianity down anyone's throat. But I will try to live as Christ instructed: as an example of love. That is my "witness." I see many Christians who are that way. Hardly ever do I see them being aggressive in conversion attempts.

One thing to remember is that we are all human and will all mess up and give a "bad example" of our religion.... or even a bad example of what it means to be a good human.
