There should be a law that if you are a politician, you're just not allowed to have any investments in anything.

We just had our primary elections last week and it was really sad. A senator from Tennessee was retiring (Lamar Alexander) and his hand picked replacement also got the endorsement from the Donald. Of course he was a political hack who has never done anything but work for the Feds, his latest job was ambassador to Japan.

His opponent was a guy who is a surgeon and whose parents are both physicians that immigrated from India. He seemed like an incredibly intelligent honest hard working man from an incredible family but of course he lost because he didn't have any connections.

Politics is such an inbred society these days. We're never going to be able to move away from the good ole boy mentality, they're all in it together. It doesn't matter what they invest in, they can control the money to flow to anyone they want. If they don't have any investments they make it flow to their friends and their friends hire their wife and kids as consultants at a few million dollars a year... power corrupts.

Perhaps the most blunt and honest song ever written

That Paradise by the Dashboard Lights song was pretty blunt and honest too... at least to me when I was 16 and it came out.

I can't wait to die.

You've got to learn to enjoy small victories, grab every little moment of partial happiness and embrace it. I like the exercise comment, working up a sweat can give you a feeling of accomplishment and euphoria.

So the unemployment office sent more payments than they should which somehow created a debt to them.

Poor people can get lawyers too. Call a legal services place and tell them about your predicament, they usually have connections and can clear stuff like this up without ever going to court. I was poor for a long time I know all about it...

Yeah I got food stamps for about a week when I was supporting a wife and 5 kids by myself... they came by the house and I had a boat and guns and nice cars and they told me I had to sell things because I had too much stuff. Thought I might be making money by some illegal means or something cough cough. I refused so they told me to pay them back, but I never did. With interest I probably owe them a million dollars, it was 30 years ago.

My first time on here so just checking things out.

I hope you start posting some things for the rest of us. We are all bored to death and need something interesting to fight about. There really are some nice people who can be extremely helpful at times, but unfortunately it's a bit slow now and you have to be pretty diligent about getting responses.

Im still thinking laying in the bath and taking my tablets and lay sleeping there sounds peaceful.

You don't want to take all those pills, what you really want to do is send them to me.
