Never be satisfied. Better than it used to be is no excuse to stop getting even better.

But yeah, mostly I'm content. I have a peaceful existence.

I haven't accomplished much lately, but I've got a lot going on. I'm working on remodeling my barn into a "guest cottage". We don't ever actually have guests, so I might need to come up with another name. Mad scientist lab sounds cool, but probably inaccurate. Plus I'm not sure the floral print slipcovers would be right in a mad scientist lab.

My kids are all in school now. I need to start thinking about getting back into the workforce. Self employment is appealing, but I don't have an idea that inspires me. Whatever my self employment turns out to be, if I do that, the name will have to be Panda Playground, because my guest cottage/mad scientist lab is in the middle of a bamboo forest. (I know, sounds crazy, but it's true and I've started to hate the cursed stuff, but I'm trying to embrace it's invasive presence, as long as it stays clear of my grapevines and fruit trees.)

How about you, @Gone ? Are you satisfied with your life? What are you working on accomplishing nowadays?

don't worry, we believe you! I remember one or two posts of yours about eating or cooking bamboo, if my memory serves me well. hey, why don't you try (if you haven't done this already) to make handmade things from bamboo? you'll find tons of ideas on pinterest.
as for me, I've been a waste of resources lately, until your late 20's, when you achieve something, you're a prodigy. in your 30's anything you do is just expected. I remember a comedian saying that you could find the cure for cancer in your 30's, and everyone would be like "what took you so long?"
but I'm really happy with my life!
please don't go silent again. I don't know you but you brought good vibes to the forum.

Hey Aeolian, welcome back. Don't go into hiding again :'(

What are you proud of?

As for me, kind of a "hum drum" life. I'm proud of being a mom and my kids make my life happy.

I am sorta satisfied, but there are changes I'm constantly working for. I don't know if proud is exactly the right word, but I am thankful for the adventures I've been on, the progress I've made, my happy relationship that I work on every day with my lovely, and that I'm working toward my career.

from an artist ***pov..
im always proud of my creativity.

i stand to share my gains
when i feel right as rain

look-ing beyond
with or without a-head
did i ever think about
what was and then

every damn time
all i been
was a ses-sion
look-ing into my mind

breaking far
a-part
from love tells
and sor-row.

no day like tomorrow
robs me from this day

breaking far
a-part
from love tells
and sorrow.

no day like tomorrow
robs me from this day

I'm not sure satisfied is the right word. The world is ever changing, ever evolving. But we, it's human inhabitants want it to stay exactly the same.
I'm glad for each and every day that I live I have the opportunity to change the environment for the better.
The accomplishment I'm most proud of is right here on Help. I am extremely grateful for still being allowed to be here since almost the very birth of this site by CNET. All said and done, Help in all its iliterations have touched over a million lives.

Not satisfied.

Proud of my Alevel in biology that i managed to get despite being told i should try a different subject. Was told id get an e or d n shud try something else.
It was also around the time when i was going through a nervous breakdown and then ended up homeless lodging at someones home for months n was severely depressed.

I almost changed to childcare.. but i then changed my mind and kept trying and got a B. I love kids but i couldn't hack so many all at once. The noise n over stimuli would drive me nuts. Yet a felt passion to learn biology.

Im also proud that throught the duration of my relapse with my health i have managed to read most of the dr myhill book about getting myself well. Took well over a year and wasnt extremely difficult and made me more unwell sometimes in the short term. But worth it in the long term.

Im proud of myself that when the drs had no idea what to do with me, refused tests and simply wanted rid of me, i have taken it upon myself to learn and pay for my own tests.

Proud for ignoring the - you cant do that dr junk.

I think i agree with @soco
Lessons learnt are spread like ripples, even outside of help.

Help has affected people directly and indirectly. Especially when you consider that it has saved lives where many would have been affected by it who werent even on help
