Are you referring to the Event Horizon spacecraft? Because if so, I think I've seen that film 5 times and I have no idea why.

I think its a transfer point of matter from this universe to another in the form of dark matter and dark energy feeding the growth of other universes, just like ours we dont know where its coming from but its whats causing our universe to expand.

It's a good scary movie, if we're thinking the same one.

We are on one side of it. Who is to say there is not someone on the other side wondering the same thing? Then again, it might really just crush you into nothing and only whatever matter it picks up and crushes into a microscopic piece of nothing might be all that can happen when you try to go in one.

My question is:

If black holes can capture light that encounters it, among everything else in its reach, could a space vessel use one to accelerate beyond the speed of light and travel at that speed were it possible to break away from the gravitational forces that would otherwise suck you in and squish you to a spec of dust?

And assuming it is possible....how the hell would you stop? o.O

There has to be a worm hole in there.
It must lead somewhere.

If you got sucked into one you'd die pretty quickly, only something capable of travelling quite a bit faster than the speed of light could get out.

If we could create that technology, we could effectively create time travel as we'd be able to pass through the event horizon into another dimension or universe, see a different version of yourself, or the same version at a different time, and be able to return to your own world.

i dunno of wormholes are a real thing, has it been proven yet? or is it pure speculation of science fiction?

It can't get be proven for an absolute fact since nothing can go in to find out, and get back out to tell the tale.
I'd say that's my most likely theory.

there must be some underlying facts that brings this "theory" to make us wonder if its possible.
